Rob Browatzke is a writer of queer fiction, based in Edmonton Canada. With over twenty-five years working in local queer nightlife, his writing is informed by the boys, booze, and butts he has spent the better part of his life around. In addition to queer fiction, he tells stories about Edmonton’s queer history for both EQHP and Rainbow Story Hub, as well as stories from his own personal queer history in his blog. In 2026, Rob marked 15 years sober from alcohol and drugs. He is also actively involved in multiple local queer non-profits, such as the ISCWR, and this also shapes his storytelling. With his uncles, Rob is part of the owner-management team at Edmonton’s gay bar, EVO.
Rob loves the growing market for gay fiction and m/m romance. There are some incredible authors out there, and it’s important to be able to see in print (or on the screen) stories about people just like us. Coming out, our relationships, the issues we face, we all have stories to tell.
